Makertime is a fortnightly session that provides open access to new and experienced makers. The session caters to all levels of experience, especially for those with a passion for design, creation, and experimentation.

Participants will gain hands-on experience with our diverse range of makerspace equipment, including 3D printers, electronic kits, laser cutter, simple robotics kits and hand tools.

We welcome and encourage attendees to bring their own project ideas that they would like to work on or develop. There will be a focus on collaborative problem-solving and research through peer-to-peer learning.

This is not a traditional ‘class’ or ‘workshop’ – guidance will be provided to use our equipment but projects will be primarily self-directed.

Don’t know what to make? Don’t worry! Starter projects with basic ‘how-to’ guides will also be available for participants to explore. This is a great opportunity for to gain practical skills in an informal, supportive learning environment with support from experienced makers.

Details:

  • Cost: $10

  • Bookings essential

  • Suitable for: Adults aged 16+yrs

  • Experience level: all levels, no prior making experience required

We think carefully about the suggested age range for our activities and this workshop is only appropriate for adults over the age of 16+ years.

More information:

Bookings can be cancelled up to 7 days before the date of the workshop. Cancellations made within 7 days of the course starting will not be refunded. See terms and conditions
