Tuesday 20 May from 12pm to 1:30pm
On National Pro Bono Day, Sydney’s legal community will pull on their joggers for the Walk for Justice 2025, to celebrate the positive impact that legal pro bono work has on social justice in Australia.
Run by the Refugee Advice and Casework Service, the Walk for Justice NSW 2025 invites law firms, legal practitioners and supporters of social justice to walk together in Sydney’s CBD in celebration of the hundreds of thousands of pro bono hours provided by the legal sector every year.
Event participants will meet at 12.00pm, Tuesday 20 May, at Queens Square, Sydney (near the Supreme Court of NSW building), where the walk will begin.
As part of Walk for Justice NSW 2025, participants can donate to, or raise funds for, the Refugee Advice and Casework Service through the Walk for Justice NSW event page Walk for Justice NSW 2025
The Refugee Advice & Casework Service, which provides free legal advice, assistance and representation to refugees, people seeking asylum, the stateless and displaced, was supported by 29,000+ pro bono hours in 2024, kindly donated by generous law firms who are passionate about justice for people escaping persecution and seeking safety.
Funds donated to the Refugee Advice and Casework Service will go support the organisations’ work in delivering pro bono legal advice and strategic representation for refugees and people seeking asylum in Australia.
The Walk for Justice NSW 2025 is proudly supported by Thomson Reuters Australia.
