Ru and Tom gave birth to Scary Strangers in 2021, and ever since they’ve been working non-stop delivering the most eclectic mix of shows including Big Cat Club, The STEAM Room Science Comedy Experience, Are You Havin’ a Laugh?! and GRRL Squad, alongside their own debut Scary Strangers hour at the 2023 Sydney Comedy Festival.

Scary Strangers has performed at some of the country’s biggest events including the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane comedy festivals, Splendour in the Grass, Australian Museum’s Jurassic Lounge and World Science Festival Brisbane. Their work has been featured in the Guardian, ABC Radio’s Science Friction, Chemistry World, and they were invited to be judges for the 2023 Sydney Fringe Festival.

Every Scary Strangers show is a chaotic, hysterical concoction of high brow wit and low brow filth, infused with a deep love for comedy. We will be showcasing our newest work in these shows before touring internationally, and we’d love for you to join us for the ride!
